How to play

Gather resources, upgrade your gear, explore the universe!

Story 

Lost in the vastness of space, your spaceship lies broken after colliding with a storm of asteroids. With no clear idea where you are or how to get back home, your main goal is simple: survive. Your oxygen is running out, so you must gather resources from the wreckage to stay alive. 

As you scavenge for supplies, a looming shadow in the distance suggests a potential threat. Time is running out. What will become of you? Can you keep your sanity in the face of the unknown?

Back-Story

Game idea inspired by games like Breathedge and Subnautica. Basic gameplay will focus on explorations to gather resources and constructing better equipment to go further into the game. Created for the IGU Winter Jam 2024 where it placed in 2nd place.

Implemented features:

• Space movement with thrusters
  
• Normal walking inside space station with gravity 
• Resources added that can be picked up and  added to inventory 
• Destructible items can be smashed or drilled to get their contained items 
• Death screen added with reset point to last visited space station 
• View distorts after losing all oxygen until player dies (10s) 
• Inventory grid added that takes items at different sizes
  
• Crafting is done on Workbench with special effects
• Crafting Menu Animation
• Player can equip items
• Items can be dropped, they are placed into boxes that use gravity
  
• Added second area and Boss area
  
• Adjusted recipes and resources to make a good match with game progression
• Removed and compressed assets from 1Gb down to about 200Mb
• Playable version out!  - V 0.1.0 (~67Mb Compressed)
